Our programs connect to each other. A teen who joins for basketball also gets tutoring, a mentor and a plan for after graduation.

iCare After 3

Opening first
Grades K–8 · Weekdays 3:00–6:30 p.m.

Our flagship after-school program, at iCareKC sites and partner schools.

What's included
  • Academic Power Hour: homework help, reading and math support, tutoring
  • Discovery Labs: robotics, coding, music, culinary arts, theater and more
  • Movement & Recreation: basketball, soccer, double Dutch, dance
  • Life & Leadership: goal-setting, teamwork, conflict resolution

iCare Teen Zone

Grades 6–12 · Evenings until 7 or 8 p.m.

A youth club, not more school. Food, music, comfortable space and things teens actually want to do.

  • Entrepreneurship, job readiness and financial literacy

iCare Saturdays

Weekend learning, enrichment and recreation, with breakfast and lunch.

Camp iCareKC

Opening first
Ages 6–14 · Summer, Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Six to eight weeks of real summer camp that also prevents summer learning loss.

What's included
  • Daily reading and math/STEM blocks
  • Sports, arts, technology and clubs
  • Weekly themes, from STEM Week to Kansas City Week
  • Field Trip Friday every week

Teen Summer Institute

A paid or stipend-supported summer of career exposure, leadership and college prep.

  • iCare Career Fridays: weekly employer visits
  • Internships, entrepreneurship and public speaking
  • Teens leave with a résumé, professional profile, career plan, budget, interview experience and postsecondary plan
